I was a little apprehensive when a copy of Miss March showed up on my doorstep as I am not a huge fan of sex comedies like American Pie, however this is the first film from the Whitest Kids U’Know comedy troupe so I thought I would give it the benefit of the doubt. I was terribly wrong. While American Pie had a lot of sexual jokes it also had some broader comedy, while this movie had scant few jokes that were not directly related to graphic sexual content.
The story follows Eugene who teaches abstinence to children with his girlfriend, but when the prom approaches she convinces him to give up abstinence before they go to college. On the night of the prom he has an unfortunate accident and falls into a coma for four years. When he awakens from a bat strike on the head from his wild pervert friend Tucker he finds that his girlfriend isn’t waiting by his bedside, but is actually Miss March in the current issue of Playboy. Tucker convinces him to rise up out of the bed and defecate all over himself due to his atrophied muscles and go on a road trip to the Playboy Mansion. Hilarity was supposed to ensue.
Typically, road trip comedies are a perfect lay-up for sketch comedy groups because you just create a few sketch ideas and base them on locations or people that they will pass on the way to their destination. Instead, we get fourteen year old level perverted dream scenarios with thin comedic elements to fill out the bulk of the film ending with a typical Hollywood ending with just a dash of frontal nudity for taste. To give an example they are hitchhiking and are picked up by two lesbians who want them to drive so they can make out for the next five minutes in the back of the car. That actually happened.
If you want to see a Girls Gone Wild video with a few jokes this is the movie for you, otherwise I am going to encourage you to watch any other movie being released this week.
