Emerald City ComiCon 2008: Are You READY!?!

This is it folks, Saturday morning at 10:00 AM sharp will be the start of the biggest comic book convention in the NorthWest. Yes, Emerald City ComiCon is once again upon us. This year looks to be terrific with an amazing guest list, some fantastic panels, a wonderful auction and some really great exclusives. We’ll be reporting in all weekend with breaking news, panel reports and quite a few interviews. Basically most of the site will be turned over to coverage of the con. Starting Friday look for the ComiCon banner just below the logo which will link to a page with all our lead up coverage as well as all our stories over the weekend. Please feel free to post in our Lounge if you plan on attending. We’d love to say hello at the show. Right, now for a quick run down of what the weekend holds:

Guests, guests and, well, more guests!
Dozens and dozens of comc book creators will be in attendence, people like Dan Didio, J. Michael Straczynski, Ed Brubaker, Tim Sale, Mike Grell….I could go on and on, literally, for a quite a while listing everyone. And that’s not mentioning the media gusts from film and television such as Julie Benz, Jamie Bamber, Gigi Edgley, Wil Wheaton and more!

Lots of panels!
Mondo Marvel, DC Nation, TWO panels from Wil Wheaton, Image Comics, Top Cow, the Trailer Park…and that’s not even half of the scheduled panels. Check out the programming schedule and plan carefully.

An auction for a worthy case. Bid often and bid high!
Josh Medors has been fighting cancer for the past several months, so Frazetta Comics and the Emerald City ComiCon have organized an auction on his behalf. It’s amazing the items that have already been donated.

Exclusive comics, prints and more available only at the con!
Many, many exclusives await you and I’m sure there will be a mad rush to get as many of these as possible first thing Saturday. Much like the panel schedule, plan accordingly.

And don’t forget your best costume!
There will be a costume contest and masquerade Saturday night so come prepared to show off. Read the rules carefully, however. Don’t lose out on a technicality!

We are all looking forward to this show. Remember to wear some comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for a very fun weekend. See you there!
