Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (Two-Disc Super-Sized Edition)
The last few weeks before Christmas were a little crowded so Cloudy was held off into the New Year, hopefully appealing to those families with gift cards to spend. The 2 Disc Edition does have a “making of” but is mostly full of Miranda Cosgrove music videos and sing alongs, so unless you want that you can live with the Single-Disc Edition.
Fresh Catches
Chuck: The Complete Second Season
I thought this show was doomed to cancellation when it first appeared and it has proven stronger than I imagined. However I still don’t want to watch it. The set has some fun features including webisodes and a gag reel.
Big Love: The Complete Third Season
HBO is hoping to take back over the top spot for hour long drama after losing it to FX for a few years, and keeping Big Love on the air will help.
The Final Destination 3-D
I liked the first Final Destination, but this has gone too far. They even stopped numbering them.
Doctor Who: “The Keys of Marinus” and Doctor Who: “The Twin Dilemma”
More classic Who from the first Doctor and the sixth.
Double Dip DVDs
10 Things I Hate About You (Two Disc Special Edition – Includes DVD & Digital Copy)
The best of the 90’s teen comedies, perhaps because it is based on Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. The new edition has three new features; one being a ten year retrospective with the writing and directing team; the second being audition footage; and third is a new commentary with some of the supporting actors like David Krumholtz, who is funny.
