Not to be outdone by the Watchmen folks, Star Trek follows yesterday’s theatrical poster release with the first full look at the USS Enterprise, courtesy of EW.com. To be honest, my initial thought is I don’t like it. It just deviates way too much from the TV Series model and I don’t think it’s even a fit as a progression of the design from Enterprise. The saucer section looks fairly spot on, there is just too much sleekness in the secondary hull and nacelles for me. Maybe it will grow on me and I am willing to reserve final judgment until I see it action. For now, though…not so much, thank you.
