Vampire Mob Season Two Production Nears Completion

Created, written and directed by Joe Wilson, the awesome web series Vampire Mob is nearing completion on its second season of eleven episodes (season one consisted of six episodes). Vampire Mob is Indie TV at its finest as the series is funded by those who watch it. After not meeting the production goal on Kickstarter, Wilson turned to taking donations on the official website and has secured the $10,000 necessary to be able to produce the new episodes. Every one who donates becomes a Supporting Producer and will be thanked in the credits of each episode. No commercials, no studio interference, this is Joe Wilson getting to make his show the way he wants to and it is completely supported by those who want to see that vision. I see this as the future of scripted programming. Support the shows you like and see more of them, straight to your computer.

By the way, you can view all six episodes of Vampire Mob‘s first season at the official YouTube Channel. The first season is very funny and you’ll be hooked within the first few minutes of episode one. The opening of the second episode is subversively great and perhaps my favorite moment in the first six episodes. John Colella and Reamy Hall are superb together as the first couple of vampirism. All in all, just a great batch of episodes and season two promises to be even better. Get caught up now! For those who want to dive right into season two when it’s ready to go, here’s what you need to know:

John Colella (CSI: NY, The West Wing) stars as Don Grigioni. Don became a vampire because “it was a good fit” for is nocturnal life of crime. He never planned on biting his wife, Annie (Reamy Hall, Criminal Minds), and making her immortal, “but then I got hungry.” Annie felt bad that her mom Emmy winner Marcia Wallace (The Simpsons) would die one day and bit her, never discussing it with Don, and now mom needs a place to stay and blood to drink. With Don’s hit business slowing down, the last thing he needs is more “grocery shopping.”

Vampire Mob also stars (Tony-award winner, Rae Allen (The Sopranos, Seinfeld) as Don’s mother, Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds) as Laura Anderson, Chris Mulkey (Boardwalk Empire) as the owner of Marty Five’s Castle & New Life Organic Dispensary and Retta (Parks and Recreation as Cookie.
