If you are in L. A. on May 29th, you have the chance to be one of the first to hear the new Spock’s Beard album X! The band is throwing a CD release party at the historic Aztec Hotel in Monrovia. The Aztec was designed by architect Robert Stacy-Judd and built on the legendary original U.S. Route 66 using Mayan Revival architecture. Band members Ryo Okumoto and Alan Morse will be in attendance with Nick D’Virgilio and Dave Meros appearing via Skype. This is an all ages event with no charge to get in, though you will want some cash on hand to pick up the new CD and get some excellent Spock’s Beard swag. There might even be a bit of acoustic jamming as well as some surprise guests! Strange architecture and awesome progressive rock. Sounds like a fine Spock’s Beard evening. Be sure to mark Saturday, May 29th from 6:00PM to 9:00 PM on your calendar and get yourself to 311 West Foothill Blvd. in Monrovia, California.
