Today, Marvel sent over the below teaser image for the state of affairs in the mutant world following the upcoming “Second Coming” event. “We Are The X-Men” is the only text that accompanied the image and doesn’t leave too much to go on. I supposed it could be inferred that there may be a back to basics approach for the X-Men represented by the color yellow, which is one of the traditional, original colors of the team. That could also mean more unity amongst the few mutants left on Earth, especially when considering the bold statement of the image’s title. Also, their is some blood splattered on the X-Men symbol. Is this blood the X-Men themselves have lost or have caused to be spilled. Considering that “One Will Die” during “Second Coming” it is most likely X-Men blood, but if they retaliate for the loss of their own it could signify a bloody end to the upcoming conflict. Will this be an “Heroic Age” for Marvel’s band of mutants or is a mutant “Dark Reign” approaching? Find out in July!
