As most fans of Supernatural know Misha Collins aka Castiel or Cass is returning to the show for what is supposed to be 3 episodes starting March 23 with “The Born-Again Identity.” The official CW story line is: Lucifer (guest star Mark Pellegrino) drives Sam (Jared Padalecki) to the breaking point and Sam ends up in a mental hospital. Desperate to save his brother, Dean (Jensen Ackles) calls every hunter he knows for help. One of the hunters gives him the name of a healer who turns out to have a very familiar face (guest star Misha Collins).
But is it Castiel or someone who looks like him? Is he suffering from amnesia resulting from his struggles with the Leviathans many months ago or what? Even at Creation Entertainment’s Salute to Supernatural Convention earlier this month, when Collins was meeting with a group of journalists he was very careful not to say too much about his return.

QUESTION: The CW already revealed that your character is a healer. How is his attitude towards Dean and Sam different?
COLLINS: Why are they telling all of these secrets? His attitude…I know what you’re trying to do. You’re trying to trick me into revealing secrets. His attitude toward Sam and Dean is very different when he first returns. He has sort of an arc in his first episode that goes from being quite a bit more naive then we remember him into being very contrite.
QUESTION: So he is still somewhat infused with Castiel then if he’s contrite?
COLLINS: Why are you trying to get me to tell secrets? (Laughing.) Yes, yes, he is certainly infused with Castiel.
That will have to do for now. This will make the fourth time Castiel, in one form or the other, has been revived, but who’s counting. The only thing we want to count is a Season 8. Check out the first photos from the upcoming episode. And who is that in the back seat?
