New Trailer For HBO’s ‘Boardwalk Empire’

Boardwalk Empire continues HBO’s tradition of outstanding and groundbreaking original series. Created by Sopranos writer Terence Winter, the series not only has Martin Scorsese and the pilot director and one of the executive producers, but the lead actor is none other than Steve Buscemi. The twelve-episode drama series is set in 1920’s Atlantic City, the dawn of Prohibition, when sale of alcohol became illegal in the United States. This new law has not stopped the town’s Treasurer, Enoch “Nucky” Thompson. Nucky is the undisputed ruler of Atlantic City, equal parts politician and gangster, and booze flows freely where he sees fit. Naturally, Nucky has enemies, both within his own organization and with rivals and the Federal Government. And, of course, there is a woman involved. Boardwalk Empire also stars Shea Whigham, Vincent Piazza, Kelly Macdonald, Dabney Coleman, Gretchen Mol and William Hill and debuts this Fall only on HBO.
