Babelgum.com has released the first episode of Vamped Out, the new Internet comedy series by Kevin Pollak and Jason Antoon. “Al, the Vampire?” is available below for your viewing pleasure as is the trailer for the series, in case you’re wondering what the hell it’s all about. In this debut segment we get introduced to the main conceit of the series, that being the mysterious disappearance of documentary film maker Elliot Finke (played by Pollak). Finke believed he had filmed the first documentary about an actual vampire (played by Antoon). After a brief opening narration we get to view the actual documentary and meet Al, who believes himself to be a real vampire, and his girlfriend, Marie (Seana Kofoed), a bloodbank worker who provides Al will his daily supply of blood. It seems Al is not only a creature of the night (a stereotypical vampire myth which he dispels in the opening moments), but also an aspiring actor. His agent, Billy Goldborg (Samm Levine), works out of Al’s guest house and has just landed the budding actor a pilot. Watch below to see how it all pans out, but suffice it to say this debut episode is exceptionally funny and entertaining. I eagerly await next week’s installment!
