The fine folks at Steam Crow (i.e.: Daniel and Dawna Davis) have produced what I think is the swankiest exclusive print to be offered at this year’s Emerald City ComiCon. Sure, everyone not living in the Pacific Northwest identifies Seattle with the Space Needle (and only the Space Needle, it seems), but for those of us that live in and around the Queen City there are many, many icons that are perhaps much more interesting than the World’s Fair relic. To wit, Steam Crow has chosen a Seattle institution for nearly fifty years as the center-point to their print this year, namely the one and only Pink Elephant Car Wash. Daniel has concocted the perfect blend of Seattle kitch with Monster Commute greatness to create a piece that should be your first purchase of the Con this year. There will be only 100 of these available and I highly recommend you have your $20 ready and head to the exclusives table immediately upon gaining entry to the show and pick this up post haste. True, all your other purchases will feel lesser for it, but you’ll cry if you miss this! That, or you’ll be visited by a monster.
