‘Venture Bros.’ + Action Figures = Finally!

It’s taken three and a half seasons, but fans of The Venture Bros. can finally start counting down the days until the sure-to-be awesome onslaught of merchandise begins.*

Cartoon Network has teamed up with pop-culture collectible producers Bif Bang Pow! to create a line of action figures, and more, based on the hilariously dysfunctional adventurers.  It all begins with a line of 7-inch bobble-heads rolling out in Spring 2010, then fully-articulated action figures slated for Summer 2010. And, yeah, the idea of fully-articulated Venture Bros. characters is just cool as it is potentially creepy.

Sure to be featured in both line-ups are Hank, Dean, Dr. Venture, Brock Samson and The Monarch. There’s certainly enough characters to keep this toy line going for a while , and it’ll be cool to see what exclusives they have cooking. Regretfully, there’s no word yet on a David Bowie figure.

From the press release:

“The Venture Bros. creator Jackson Publick, who has been working closely with Bif Bang Pow! on the planning and creation of the toy line, adds, “Finally.  It’s about time someone made some action figures based on the show.  This is going to be great!”

As soon as we get pictures, we’ll be sure to post them.

*Aside from the T-shirt Club during season 3 and some miscellany being sold on the Cartoon Network site, it’s been slim pickings for Venture Bros. fans, when it’s comes to merch.
