KICK-ASS #8 has hit stands and to be blunt, it is the bloodiest and most disgusting book that I have ever read, and I’m a huge Garth Ennis fan. I loved every panel.
This is by far my favorite book of the week. They quickly wrapped up Volume 1 in a very bloody fashion and left us with a cliffhanger that is rather cliché, but still very awesome.
We finally learn the fates of everyone involved and it’s not all roses for our hero as he *SPOILER ALERT* doesn’t get the girl! In fact, he loses her in rather epic fashion.
Mark Millar has gone out of his way to make this issue really stand out from the rest of the series so far and JR JR’s artwork is nothing less than spectacular. This unlikely duo really makes this book come to life.
If you aren’t reading KICK ASS, once the trade paper back comes out, run, don’t walk to your local comic book shop and grab this book and play the quickest game of catch up that you can before Volume 2 starts. Because if it’s anything like Volume 1, we are all in for a bumpy ride.
