USA has given a second season order for it’s crime comedy-drama series White Collar. This is one of our favorite new shows, so we here at the Pop Culture Zoo bunker are very pleased by this news. White Collar concerns Neal Caffrey, played by Matt Bomer, a con man who has been freed from prison under the condition that he assists the man who put him behind bars, FBI agent Peter Burke, played by Tim DeKay. Caffrey, bound by an ankle bracelet monitoring device, is also covertly searching for his lost love, Kate (Alexandra Daddario), with the assistance of his associate Mozzie (Willie Garson). The series also stars Tiffani Thiessen as Burkes’s wife Elizabeth and Natalie Morales as Special Agent Lauren Cruz, who studied Neal while she was at Quantico.

Seven of the first season’s fourteen episodes have already aired to much critical and audience acclaim. The second season pickup came after the show’s fall finale ended not only with its biggest audience figures to date, but also with a huge twist in the final moments. White Collar returns on January 19th, moving from Fridays to Tuesdays. There is no word yet on how many episodes are being ordered for the next season, but we will bring you that news as well as who will be returning.
