Upping the star power of NBC’s new David Tennant led comedic legal drama, it was announced today that Jeffrey Tambor has joined Rex Is Not Your Lawyer as co-star. Tambor will play Rex’s (Tennant) psychiatrist, a specialist in anxiety disorders who himself suffers from them and who also becomes romantically involved with Rex’s mother. David Semel is directing the pilot from a script by Andrew Leeds and David Lampson. Showrunners and Executive Producers are Barry Schindel, Semel, Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun and Gene Stein, with Leeds and Lampson serving as Supervising Producers.
As if Tennant alone wasn’t enough to make this a must-see, adding the one-time Hank Kingsley and Bluth patriarch should clinch this as a powerhouse of a show. Stay tuned to Pop Culture Zoo for more on this show as things develop!
