New Trailer For HBO’s ‘The Pacific’

Finally, after several years of being talked and rumored about, The Pacific will debut in 2010. As if offering proof that it’s been filmed, HBO has released the first trailer for this companion piece to Band of Brothers. While the 2001 mini-series focused on the US Army’s involvement in Europe, this ten-part series will depict the United States Marine Corps’s actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The Pacific is produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks and, judging by the trailer, they are bringing the same level of quality and sense of realism to this production. I am personally very interested in this as my grandfather served in the pacific during World War II. Expect this to premiere on HBO sometime around March.
