Watchmen reviews are starting to trickle out and it looks like The Holy Un-filmable Comic Book has not only succeeded in being filmed, but apparently it’s also pretty darn amazing. While I have no Watchmen news for you, I bring a great link regarding the next Will-Be-Great comic book adaptation, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Filming has started on an adaptation to Bryan Lee O’Malley’s awesome Scott Pilgrim series, following a boy’ quest to defeat to his girlfriend’s seven Evil ex-boyfriends.
Even better, Edgar Wright – he of Shaun of Dead, Hot Fuzz and Spaced – is behind the lens and offering a behind-the-scene peek into the film. Wright’s been unveiling a picture a day on Myspace, teasing the real-life counterparts to the Pilgrim-verse, among other easter eggs. Over the weekend, he also launched his own site, edgarwrighthere.com, which is very good news for all those who live in paranoid fear of social networking sites.
Today the site features our first look at roller-skating (half) ninja Roxy Richter, played by Mae Whitman, also known as Ann from Arrested Development.
The site’s well worth a bookmark, especially when massive “exclusive casting scoops” for other films are dropped, like this one:
