If you’re a Final Fantasy game series fan like me, then you will definitely be anticipating Square Enix’s new addition to the series, Dissidia Final Fantasy. The game has already been released in Japan and is topping the sales charts. If you can’t wait for the US release, currently scheduled for June 30,2009, you should be able to get it as an import from your favorite importer right now. The only drawback is that the game is available exclusively only on the PSP and I sorta don’t have one of those. Although, if they decide to release a bundle it may just be time to get one. Take note, Final Fantasy XIII is also on the way for the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360. More on that one later. For now, check out the story and features for Dissidia below.

STORY
Cosmos, the goddess of harmony. Chaos, the god of discord. Reigning from distant realms, the two gods had gathered warriors from all lands to lead them in savage war.
Cosmos and Chaos were of equal strength. It was believed the conflict would last forever. However, the balance is now broken.
Those who answered Chaos’s call created an inexhaustible force. And under vicious attack without relent, the warriors fighting for Cosmos started to fall one by one. The conflict that has continued for eons is now about to end in Chaos’s favor.
The world has been torn asunder, sinking into a vortex of disorder. As for the few surviving warriors… their fates have yet to be determined.
