Below is the trailer for the first of the last five specials to feature David Tennant as the Doctor. Titled “The Next Doctor”, the episode guest-stars David Morrissey as a man who also claims to be a Time-Lord called the Doctor. At first I thought this was going to be an adaptation of the Big Finish audio play “The One Doctor”. I really loved the audio play and seeing it reimagined on the new series would be fantastic. However, with Tennant having now quit the show and a rumored explosive ending to this next special, is it possible that Morrissey will be taking over as the eleventh Doctor in 2010? Answers on a postcard…and on December 25th.
