Yahoo!7 Video gives us the new, five minute trailer for the remake to the classic The Day The Earth Stood Still, which you can check out below. I’m generally against remakes and really felt this one in particular was unnecessary. I will say that this new trailer has me interested in seeing this. I just wish they had decided to title it something else and then throw in a “based on” line in the opening credits. And I’m still not sure about the giant Gort. At this point I feel compelled to check it out and offer up a review, so look for that closer to the release date (December 12th).
