At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Weta unveiled their greatly anticipated line of Halo 3 Collectibles. To celebrate this launch, Weta took one of each of the four statues in the line and made a unique cast. Plated in Sterling Silver, with selected elements in solid Sterling Silver, these statues comprise the Ultimate Limited Edition. Each of these items are to be auctioned off on eBay, where the winning bidder will posses what no one else in the universe possesses.

My advice… bid NOW! Scroll down to the link for the piece you want and make your bid. Max your credit card, cancel that long awaited vacation, get a 3rd mortgage on your house- whatever it takes, you are going to want one of these.

Of course, the concept of owning something that is universally singular is cool enough all by itself, but these pieces are indeed museum-worthy works of art.

Close examination of these statues reveals an astonishing degree of intricate detailing. It is the, combined and universal, opinion of the Pop Culture Zoo staff that in all our years of collecting and reviewing we have never seen pieces produced at this level. In much the way they did with their work on Lord of the Rings, Weta Workshop has once again raised the bar for an entire industry. To highlight this detailing look to the image below. You will find not only the broken concrete that constitutes part of the statue’s base have rebar poking out of it, but the rebar itself shows the texture of the metal.

It is this hyper realism, coupled with the pure aesthetic beauty of the pieces, which will undoubtedly move would-be owners to abandon honeymoon plans in favor of bidding.

Below you will find and complete listing of the statues with their sculptors. I would highly recommend clicking on the link for a high resolution view, this is the only way to appreciate the level of detail.
