This weekend, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, Blizzard Entertainment made an announcement that sent shockwaves through the gaming community… Diablo is returning. The game that revolutionized the role-planing adventure genre will once again be unleashed upon the world. Still in the its preliminary development stages, Diablo III does not currently have a release date. Blizzard has setup an impressive and surprisingly informative website for the game, which includes a FAQ, gameplay teaser and cinematic trailer.
What we currently know about Diablo III:
– There will be five character classes. Two have been revealed: Barbarian and Witch Doctor.
– The game will be released on both Macintosh and Windows platforms.
– Co-op play will be available via Battle.net.
– There is not currently a release date available for Diablo III.
