Toy Fair 2011: Star Wars Figures Into Hasbro’s 2011 Plans

Hasbro revealed their plans this weekend for the Star Wars toy line, a partnership that has continued for over thirty years. They have some major plans, so sit tight while we sift through it all.

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS 3.75” ACTION FIGURES
(Approximate retail price: $7.99; Ages: 4 & up; Available: In Stores Now)
In 2011, Hasbro will continue its line of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS 3.75” ACTION FIGURES styled on the wildly popular animated series on the Cartoon Network. Featuring favorite heroes and villains like ANAKIN SKYWALKER, COMMANDER CODY, OBI-WAN KENOBI and COUNT DOOKU — as well as many new characters — these figures are a great way for kids to re-create their favorite scenes from the animated series. Each sold separately.

In addition, each figure is packaged with a competitive gaming base, a die and a game card to play the STAR WARS GALACTIC BATTLE GAME, introduced to kids in 2010. Kids can continue to expand their game play with game cards located in STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS 3.75” action figures, STAR WARS SAGA LEGENDS 3.75” action figures, STAR WARS VEHICLES and STAR WARS BATTLE PACKS. STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS REPUBLIC ATTACK SHUTTLE

The STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS REPUBLIC ATTACK SHUTTLE is styled after the signature vehicle from the hit animated series. This premiere vehicle features two modes of play – an armored attack base playset and an attack ship! The STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS REPUBLIC ATTACK SHUTTLE features sounds, lights and an array of surprise action features. Batteries not included.

 

 

 

STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS REPUBLIC FIGHTER TANK R/C

The REPUBLIC FIGHTER TANK R/C is the all-purpose ground combat unit for the Grand Army of the Republic, made famous by its role on the popular STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS animated series. The 3.75” scale remote control vehicle is armed with six projectile-firing cannons that can be fired from the handheld remote to take on opponents from a distance. Between its versatile maneuverability and firepower, the STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS REPUBLIC FIGHTER TANK R/C is one vehicle no galactic army should be without! One 3.75” action figure included. In celebration of all six STAR WARS movies being released on Blu-ray in 2011, Hasbro is excited to offer fans six STAR WARS BLU-RAY 3.75” ACTION FIGURE 4-PACKS – one for each of the movies! (Blu-ray disc not included) Each pack corresponds to a specific movie in the saga and includes four action figures featured in that film. A definite ‘must’ for every STAR WARS fan to add to their collection. Blu-ray discs sold separately.

STAR WARS 3.75” VINTAGE ACTION FIGURES
(Approximate retail price: $7.99; Ages: 4 & up; Available: In Stores Now)In 2011, Hasbro is once again taking STAR WARS fans back to “a long time ago” with STAR WARS 3.75” VINTAGE ACTION FIGURES. The selection includes all-time favorite characters from throughout the six-film saga. Each of the figures in this assortment will feature the exceptionally accurate design and superb articulation customary to Hasbro’s action figures, and will be offered in packaging reminiscent to that of the original 1978-1984 Kenner STAR WARS packaging!

Additionally, the VINTAGE ACTION FIGURES line will feature some special items. There will be EXPANDED UNIVERSE figures as well a Boba Fett prototype figure as featured in a 1978 screen test! The special Boba Fett figure will only be available as a mail-in offer.

 

 

 

 

 

Lastly, for you collectors attending San Diego Comic-Con this year, Hasbro has revealed their Comic-Con 2011 exclusive. The company is packaging 14 (yes, fourteen) figures packaged on Vintage Revenge of the Jedi cards and collected inside a Death Star collectible case.
